QUEEN OF HEARTS

They took the pinball machine out of Radio
And put the ashtrays out on the patio
Put shine on the walls and the window pane
But all the walls still look the same

Coffee black and scotch for the health
Ease the weight off the feet for a spell
And watch the sun set across the water
Are days on the far side of shorter?

Slip me a simple song
With the smile and open arms
Slip me a good luck charm
In the search for the Queen of Hearts

I still got the flower you gave me that night
The only one I've had that's stayed alive
And it's all that's left of you in here
And it just brightens the room and perfumes the air

Slip me...
